- Hello Johan,

-
- Laurent here ;-)
-
- > Have you given any thought to what should be put on the DSP?
-
- I said Bertrand that we should first code everything in the 68030,
- and when everything works well, we'll see what can go into the dsp.
- Like that, we'll be able to see what takes the maximum of machine time for
- the 68030.
-
- >> As for the sound, I have no idea how to do it, not being a DSP specialist.
-
- > Do we have a DSP specialist yet? Laurent?
-
- I've already coded the DSP, but I'm not a specialist actually. But this
- project is an opportunity for me to complete what I know about the dsp.
-
- I've got a soundtrack rout at home that can play a 4 tracks soundtrack and
- play a sample in the same time in 7 scanlines. It works into the DSP.
-

-
- Do you know a lot in BSP trees, if so, send me informations and code if
- you've got so. I've already coded a realtime tridi mapping on Falcon, but it's
- only tridi. It's not with the bsp tree routine. Anyway, if we need tridi mapped,
- I've done the job.
- We'll see after for the DSP routs, but any help would be appreciable. I know
- how to code the DSP, I've already coded a few things with it ( conversion tridi
- -> 2 planes for a tridi world...) :-)
-

-
- That's a good idea. We'll see that as an option. That wouldn't take so much
- machine time... I've got a true color bresenham line drawing quite fast.
-
- OK, if you've got questions, ask me them.
- Tell me what you you would like to do .
- I'll be there for the next 2 weeks, then, I'll go 3 weeks in hollidays, and
- then, i'll come back here for a week.
- Then, I won't be here for a month, but I'll try to have another Email access
- before.
-
- I think that the first thing we should do is a prg that would read thew .WAD
- files, and visualise everything : the sounds, the maps, the textures,
- the monsters,... That would help us for the game itself...
-
- Bye for now, I'm waiting for you soon...
